UK Power Networks' innovative use of drones to optimise outage response in rural areas

UK Power Networks, the UK's distribution network operator, is actively exploring drone technology to improve fault detection along its rural networks. In partnership with Heliguy, eight engineers have been trained to pilot DJI Mavic 3 drones, offering a promising solution for locating and repairing faults.
