In Mainz was er afgelopen voorjaar onverschilligheid over de moderne bouw van een Bijbeltoren als aanvulling op het museum gewijd aan de uitvinder van de drukpers. Een referendum in april besliste uiteindelijk in het voordeel van de bewoners die tegen het futuristische gebouw waren.
